About AMENA

Autism MENA was founded in 2014 as a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to advancing a rights-based approach to the development and integration of persons with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). It seeks to enhance awareness and understanding of the disorder, which is currently affecting one child in every (68) born in the US annually, according to a survey conducted by the Centre for Disease Control and prevention in 2014. A combination of training programmes and public education workshops are implemented every year to achieve our mission, most of which fall within the realm of campaigns and advocacy programs as well as the organisation of activities that target the physical and psychological well being of families and children with ASD
